Seniors social group for those over 55. Stay connected to the community with great opportunities to share, support and grow in your retirement.

Meet new people and make those connections and make new friends.

Hear about different things that you can be involved in.

Arts and Minds – Peer Support Group – Tuesday

A supportive space for people to enjoy art and share peer support in their mental health journey. Includes

school holidays.

Fee: Gold coin donation.

How to Journal – Monday

One of the ways to deal with any overwhelming emotion is to find a healthy way to express yourself. This makes a journal a helpful tool in managing your mental health.

Journaling can help you:

Manage anxiety

Reduce stress

Cope with depression

 Celtic Mythology & Storytelling Program – Friday

Join us in a program drawing forth ancestral wisdom through the invocation of 9,000 year old mythology.

Local storyteller Melanie Blacksmith invites you to sit in circle in the way of our Ancestors, where we awaken bone memory through story, creative expression and the deep listening of sharing circle. Sharing is encouraged but not compulsory.

Starts: Friday  19th April – 10:00am – 12:00 pm
Duration: 10 sessions

Free Mental Health First Aid

Are you a Yarra Ranges resident who volunteers in the Yarra Ranges?

Would you like to increase your confidence in responding to people experiencing mental health problems?

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) will teach you how to provide initial support to adults aged 18+ who may be experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis, until appropriate professional help is received or the crisis resolves.

Pathways for Carers

The Pathways for Carers project offers carers of people with a disability or mental illness an opportunity to share walks together and learn more about news, services and support available to carers.

In the event of increased COVID19 restrictions:
Where programs have already commenced, HLLC will schedule make-up sessions.
Where programs are yet to commence, HLLC will provide a class credit to be used within 12 months.
