Supporting the Community

Healesville Living and Learning Centre is a not for profit organisation operating as a Neighbourhood House and Adult Education Provider.  It is located in the Shire of Yarra Ranges and serves the community of Healesville and surrounding districts.

We produce a new program of short courses and activities four times a year which includes Computing and Digital Media, Art and Craft, Health, Personal Development, Environmental and Sustainability programs and workshops.

Ancient Basketry

Learn the art of twined basketry. This technique is prolific amongst Indigenous Women from the Top End. It is used in ceremonies, for food and now for artistic expressions. From baskets and wall hangings to seashells, learning this technique opens the door to developing myriad concepts.
Saturday 24th August from 11:00 – 3:00 pm

Hiromi’s Kitchen

Roll up your sleeves and join this hands-on, fun and interactive Japanese cooking class. Suitable for all experience levels, receive guidance from an experienced chef every step of the way as you learn to cook traditional Japanese food. As well as going home with new culinary skills and recipes, you’ll get to indulge in the delicious food prepared by you!
