How to Use Your Computer – Windows 10
Develop skills for using Windows PC’s and the internet, sending and receiving emails and explore Microsoft Word. Topics include physical components of computers, Microsoft Windows navigation, Microsoft Word basics, an introduction to the internet and developing keyboarding skills.

Introduction to Digital Media
This class is a great place to begin learning about computers, phones, tablets, iPads, iPhones, email, the Cloud, music and photos. You will also learn about apps, what are they and how to get them. The emphasis is on exploring, and what can we do for free. You’ll be expertly guided and be in safe hands during this initial exploration of modern-day computers.

Digital Media – The Next Step

Now that we’ve covered the basics of modern-day computing we will begin to refine our knowledge and skill covering email, the cloud, apps, safe surfing, passwords and how to keep the hackers at bay. You will also learn how easy it is to share photos, videos and documents in a confidential and focused way.

Advanced Computing and Digital Media
Build your confidence by exploring more advanced aspects of modern computing and digital media. Learn how phones and other devices interact with each other via the cloud, explore safe navigation of social media platforms, and take advantage of the vast world of free apps. Deepen your understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other Office tools.

iPads and Tablets
Find out how you can get more from your iPad or tablet. Learn how to manage apps, photos, video and email. For beginners and those who want to explore all that their device can do.

Build and Maintain a Website Using WordPress

From registering a domain name to installing and running a website, understand how to build, modify, edit and manage your own website using WordPress. Covers themes, plugins, web forms, page layouts and managing content in a temporary, live web environment.

Making Movies Using Smart Phones and Tablets

Do you love movies – watching them, discussing them, maybe even making a movie of your own? In this class, we will do all of this and more. For eight weeks we will talk about and show movies – both old and new, design our own movie, explore scriptwriting, and then film and edit our movies using phones, tablets and cameras. Finally, you will present your movie.
