Book Club  – Fortnightly Tuesday

Everyone is Welcome

Join our book club it is a great way to meet new people. It’s a way to interact with people while conversation flows freely about something you all have in common the book you are reading.

We will borrow sets of books from the library, everyone will read the book and fortnightly will come together to discuss the book.

Mother Daughter Hair Braiding – Saturday

A four week program, mother and daughter activity to learn together and practise the art of hair braiding.

Printed step by step instructions with a take home kit is provided.

Learn to do French, Side and Mermaid Braids

Everything is supplied.

Starts: Saturday 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Duration: 4 sessions

 Sourdough Basics – Wednesday

A hands-on class, perfect for first time sourdough makers.

Learners are provided with a sourdough culture to keep.

Learn how to maintain it, as well as how to use their culture to mix a dough, knead it, shape it and bake sourdough loaves and rolls.

Printed recipes with tips and hints are also provided.

Everything is supplied.

Make a Devonshire Tea – Wednesday

Make raspberry jam, different types of cream (devonshire cream and clotted cream) and 2 different types of scone recipes.

Then lay the table and sit down for a refined afternoon tea and chat about what you have achieved.

Soy Wax Candle Making – Saturday

Coming in Term 2

How to make scented soy candles quickly & easily.

A how-to, step-by-step guide to homemade candles using pure essential oils and soy wax.

Great for gifts or just that hobby that arouses the sense of smell.

Everything is supplied.

Starts: Saturday 29th June 2024
Duration: 1 session

In the event of increased COVID19 restrictions:
Where programs have already commenced, HLLC will schedule make-up sessions.
Where programs are yet to commence, HLLC will provide a class credit to be used within 12 months.
