Meet our board
Our Board members bring diverse skills, experience, and perspectives, volunteering their time to guide HLLC’s direction, support good governance, and help us create meaningful impact in the community.
Vicky King
PRESIDENT
Vicky has successfully led community organisations and businesses throughout her career.
She has worked in both federal and local government, always in leadership, development and education roles, and has operated successful businesses of her own, earning national recognition as a leading tourism industry operator.
A fierce advocate for equality and the power of strong communities, Vicky holds a postgraduate degree in Adult Education and Training, alongside postgraduate qualifications in Wellness and Positive Psychology.

Michelle Zwagerman
SECRETARY
Michelle has been volunteering for the community since moving here in 2020. Her work experience is in both the public and private sectors in IT and management positions.
Michelle joined the Board in June 2025 and enjoys supporting the Centre to grow and improve its program of courses, workshops and other offerings.
Linda Carlin
BOARD MEMBER
Linda is an experienced change management consultant with diverse professional background spanning the UK, Germany, the US, Australia, and New Zealand. Her leadership style is highly collaborative and participative. Deeply community-minded, Linda brings her rich strategic and organisational development expertise to HLLC, helping deliver practical outcomes that support, connect, and empower our local community.

Brian is a 40 year small business veteran bringing experience in management of people, budgets and projects along with board experience on several not for profit organisations over the last 25 years.
Brian brings a strong interest in the power of building community and connection.
